A community where love heals, restores and empowers women impacted by human trafficking.
Bakhita Mountain Home is a non-profit that assists women transitioning from human trafficking to self-sufficiency and successful reintegration into society. Women experience healing through three components:
The sting, called ‘Operation United Front’ which took place between August 26 - August 29, involved 12 states and lead to arrests taking place in Bowling Green. The overall operation in Kentucky rescued 21 victims (two of them minors) and made 46 arrests total.
Elected officials and city agencies, including the Denver Police Department, have proposed requiring massage businesses to be licensed in an effort to combat human trafficking and illicit sex work.
