Join Bakhita Mountain Home for a fun night of wine tasting, benefitting survivors of human trafficking in Colorado Springs.

THINGS TO DO: 

• Purchase tickets for each individual on the team of 1 – 3 People
• Select a Team Name
• Purchase 3 bottles of the exact same Cabernet Sauvignon
• Arrive 4:30pm – 4:50pm Team/wine check-in & champagne & light hors d’ oeuvres reception
• Taste wines, munch on light hors d’ oeuvres, vote & have fun!!

Raise Money for Bakhita Mountain Home and Make Some New Friends! This Competitive Wine Tasting Event is Fun, Casual, Drink Wine, Maybe Win Wine,

Grab your friends, family, and co-workers and join us for this fun competitive wine tasting event.

So how does a competitive wine tasting event work exactly?

Teams can consist of 1 to 3 participants. Thus, a group of 4 participants, for example, will be considered 2 teams and must bring 6 bottles of the featured varietal to enter the event. The goal is to bring the best tasting wine!

Each team brings 3 identical bottles of wine – same vintage, same year. Every team brings the same varietal. For this event, that’s Cabernet Sauvignon.

On arrival, each team turns in their 3 bottles of wine. We’ll open, number, and disguise two, and place them out for tasting. The third bottle is set aside for prize distribution at the end of the evening.

Over the course of the evening, you’ll enjoy tasting several different versions of the same varietal of wine while munching on light hors d’oeuvres and critiquing the wines with your friends. At the end of the night, you’ll vote for your most and least favorite wines.

And here’s the best part. If your team brought the wine with the most votes, you get to take the bottles we set aside home! Except the one LEAST liked – the team that brought that has to take it back with them. (If it is a large event, the top 1-3 teams may split the wine)

So that’s it. Here’s a great opportunity to have some fun with your friends, taste some great wines, and raise some funds for charity.

4:30pm – 4:55pm Team & Wine Check-in, Champagne & Hors D’ Oeuvres Reception

5:00pm – 6:20pm Taste & Critique the Wines / Snack on Hors D’ Oeuvres

6:20pm Ballots Handed Out

6:30pm – 6:45pm Turn in Best/Worst Wine Vote

6:55pm Winning / Losing Team(s) Announced
